Tired of all the brake dust the factory C8 Corvette brake pads leave behind? Grab a set of these Carbotech 1521 pads to reduce the dust but keep the performance. The stock pads are an organic compound which creates a ton of dust. These 1521's are a Ceramic Kevlar which reduces brake dust and makes wheel maintenance easier, while maintaining brakes that perform!

The Carbotech 1521 in a high-performance street compound. Known for its release and modulation with unmatched rotor friendliness. The 1521 is a very low dusting and low noise compound that provides excellent initial bite. Excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. The operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800F (426C). 1521 is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow or fleet vehicle. Carbotech 1521 is NOT recommended for any track use.

Great low dust option!

I installed these pads myself several months ago to replace the stock brembo Z51 pads. If you get a Z51 to get all the performance benefits, you might not need the track worthy pads during vehicle break-in period or daily driving use. Trust me, they are incredibly dusty pads and I am sure will be excellent for track use. I happened to be getting my stock wheels powdercoated, so while I had the vehicle up on a lift I got to work on installing these 1521 pads. They look great with the red metallic plates which gives my stock black brembos a nice look. Removal of the stock pads was easy using a simple pry bar to remove the adhesive. One thing I wasn't careful about was disconnecting my battery. I never thought to remove it, but apparently had I opened a door while the calipers were off there is a chance the brakes would have engaged and could have damaged my caliper pistons. Remove the battery ground folks, just in case! The 1521 pads work great. Performance is very grippy, and responsive. Best of all, the brake dust is much reduced. I will put the stock Z51 pads back prior to tracking the vehicle.
