Ferodo DS2500

DS2500 are among the highest performance track day pads in the business. They are also suitable for some light duty front and many rear race applications. DS2500 offer excellent refinement for such a high performance pad featuring high bite and solid fade resistance with relatively low dust and noise levels. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, meaning as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent.

When used on high HP, heavier cars (2800lbs +) on the track with race tires, pad wear rates tend to be higher than on Ferodo Racing's other pad compounds. Under those conditions Essex recommends the Ferodo DS1.11 or DSUNO.

 

 

Technical Characteristics

  • Track day & light race use for all vehicle types
  • Road style refinement but with race material ability to withstand heat
  • Average friction coefficient of 0.42 over range of 20°C-500°C (68°F-932°F)
