Makes a huge difference

There is a noticeable difference in the amount of additional clearance you get with these replacement struts. The rear hatch opens fully and provides significantly more space for loading, cleaning and maintenance. They take up less space than the original and match perfectly with the carbon fiber on the engine appearance package. The movement is smooth and steady. Install was easy as described.

A much needed upgrade over the stock ones. These were easy to install, look great and have plenty of power.

You will not be disappointed!

These look great on my torch red car. I was happy to see when the red struts arrived the color was a proper tasteful red and not a bright blinding red that would look aftermarket and gaudy. They really look great and they do indeed weight less than the factory units. You will not be disappointed!

Torch Red C8 Owner

Just installed the black carbon fiber engine compartment struts. Took less than 5 minutes, did it myself using my shoulder to prop up the hood after each OEM strut removal. Beautiful looking part that replaces one of the cheapest looking parts in the engine compartment. Smoother opening, too. Get this part, you won't be sorry.

Awesome

These are so much better than the bulky stock ones, so much lighter and it took me literally 5 minutes to put the new ones on. If you have never taken struts off, it is very simple, get a flat head screwdriver and in the middle of the strut at each end where they snap to the socket that holds them in place, there is a little clip, slide the screw driver underneath it and it pulls away from the strut, pry it and simply slide the strut out of the knuckle, keep in mind to hold your hood up at the same time, one strut will not support the weight, repeat that 3 times and your done. It is very simple if you know what to look for. Do not try to pry them off or pull really hard, that will only cause damage, That little clip is like a c shaped metal clip. You will be amazed at how much lighter and how much better looking these custom carbon fiber struts are. Great addition to my C8. These are top notch!! ThIs is a must have for your car.
