APR Performance Carbon Fiber Front Bumper Center Bezel - C8 Corvette

So whoever claims this is a 90 minute install is on drugs. It's more like 6 hours and it is not easy unless you are very familiar with disassembling for C8 body panels. I've removed my rear bumper cover and swapped out my factory spoiler without issue. This is definitely more difficult and most of that has to do with the horrible Instructions. They are so vague and poorly illustrated. Some examples: They state to remove 4 torx screws from the inner fender liner to access two 7mm bolts on each side. But there are three 7mm bolts. The picture is so bad in the instructions that you cannot tell which two to remove. Also removing the 4 torx screws doesn't give you any room to actually remove or replace those bolts. I spent a good 1 hour or more on each side doing this. Another example: They mention to unplug 2 electronic connectors so you can pull the bumper cover off. But they don't even bother to explain how to disconnect them. I had to look for a video on YouTube to find out and the only video that shows this was useless. They did it so fast without any explanation that it was difficult to see how they worked. Another example: The instructions state to use a flathead screwdriver to remove the small vents from the old grille. But they don't show or explain how actually remove this. The poor instructions are a BIG reason this took so long to complete. Oh and don't even try to call APR for clarification, they don't answer the phone during business hours. The fit and finish is good except, again, for the lower vents. They do not fit well in the carbon fiber unit. The tabs are not the same and they do not use all of them like the OEM unit. I also bought the APR 1VM carbon fiber splitter and it only fits OK with the grill. 2 mounting holes didn't even line up. But there are enough screws that it will hold just fine. Overall I'll pay up for a premium product for my next upgrade and not purchase from APR, mainly because of the awful installation instructions. Oh and if you go to the APR website looking for better images or even an install video, they don't exist. There is a link to high definition images for the installation but it just links to their race car. Ridiculous.

Good looking piece. Easy to install. Issue: No tow hook punch-out.
